Saddam Hussein massacrated about 5,000 Kurds with a neurotoxic gas such as Sarin, Tabun and VX at Halabja, their dead bodies were scattered in the wilderness. The US military supported Iraq in the Iran-Iraq war from 22 September 1980 to 20 October 1988, but in 2003 the Iraq invasion was justified for the chemical weapons by George Walker Bush.
