Iraq had massacred Kurds citizens with chemical weapons and USA subsequently justified the invasion of Iraq.

Iraq massacred the Kurds Citizens by chemical weapons on March 16, 1988. Saddam Hussein massacrated about 5,000 Kurds with a neurotoxic gas such as Sarin, Tabun and VX at Halabja, their dead bodies were scattered in the wilderness. The US military supported Iraq in the Iran-Iraq war from 22 September 1980 to 20 October 1988, but in 2003 the Iraq invasion was justified for the chemical weapons by George Walker Bush.
