広島原子爆弾が72年前の1945年8月6日の午前8時15分に炸裂した。学徒勤労動員であった女子学生は、顔面がただれた重傷の火傷と全身に放射能に被爆して広島日赤病院に搬入された。8月10日まで放置されて治療も受けられずにゴザに寝たきりとなった。「水! 水!」と叫びながら、傍らの水も飲めず、やがて衰弱して数日で死亡した。
