第2次世界大戦おいて、1941年10月にロシアのキエフ地域にて、ドイツ軍がユダヤ人を拘束した。ユダヤ人の8人の市民達は、うなだれたドイツ兵士らから銃にて射殺される直前であった。ユダヤ人市民らが、銃殺による死に臨む直前である。しゃがみ込む若い女性は除名を嘆願して、老人は立ち尽くし、その他に睨みつけ首の手で生命をかけた。
