第2次世界大戦においてナチス・ドイツによりエストニアに1943年9月にクローガー(Klooga)収容所が設置された。大多数の被収容者であるユダヤ人が虐殺された。ソ連軍により解放された時に、遺体が火葬用の丸太と共に山積みされていた。
