The Second Ring of the Battle of Henan; Xianggui and the Battle of ChanghengThe Battle of Changheng, also known as the Battle of Hunan, began at the end of May 1944 and ended at the beginning of September, and lasted more than three months. It was the so-called "Operation No. 1" by the Japanese army, that is, the longest battle in the battle of Henan, Xianggui, and the most tenacious resistance of the Nationalist government. As far as the Japanese army is concerned, its wide range of operations and the number of troops participating in the war are unprecedented in history.
