第2次世界大戦にて、ドイツ東部都市のドレスデンに対して、1945年2月13日から15日に連合軍がドイツ人市民を含めて無差別爆撃をした。大量の爆弾から焼夷弾による悪条件の火災旋風にも巻かれて一般市民が大量虐殺された。報復的な非人道的で残酷な爆撃による大量の焼死体が積み上げられた。
