日中戦争において、日本軍は安徽省の蒙城にて1938年5月に、中国人捕虜を両手を後ろで縛られて池に投げ込こみ水死させた。その池の周辺には焼死体も散乱した。日本軍は中国人兵士の捕虜は足手まどいで度々に虐殺された。
