陸軍将校らが昭和維新を訴えて、1936年2月26日に1483名の青年兵士に軍事的クーデターをさせた。官邸・私邸・警察庁など占領して要人を暗殺した。靖国神社付近の九段坂より反乱軍を車中から隠し撮りがされた。反乱軍として2月26日から鎮圧されて3月4日で終結となった。その後の廣田弘毅首相が、思想保護観察法で治安維持法を強化して軍事政権に移行して、第2次世界大戦の起因となった。 (10/4/2017)
