Two Japanese Kamikaze aircraft clashed with the aircraft carrier of the US military, whose many soldiers were smoked, burned and chocked to death by the flames and smokes of gasolines during the battle of Okinawa.

太平洋戦争の沖縄戦中の1945年5月11日にて、米軍の空母バンカー・ヒルの甲板に、日本軍の特攻機の約250kgの爆弾を搭載した2機体が激突した。空母の中央から船尾まで火炎の地獄となり365名の米軍兵が死亡した。船尾に取り残された米軍兵士らは、燃えて漏れ出すガソリンの火炎と煙に巻き込まれて、大破した格納甲板にて火傷して窒息死した。
