米軍の爆撃機B-29の56機は、軍事目標を変更して1945年1月27日に東京の有楽町と銀座に向けて、禁止されていた日本人市民を含む無差別の空襲をした。有楽町駅の中央改札口は多くの市民の遺体が散乱した。
