ナチス親衛隊中将のテオドール・アルケは1932年3月から1336年4月まで最古であるダッハウ強制収容所長となった。1934年7月からは全強制収容所の長官となった。ブランデンブルク連隊に命じてブウォツワベクの近郊でユダヤ人やポーランド人に対して大量虐殺を行った。
