A widow employed in the day-laybor took a nap with her baby, hiding her face that incurred the keloid disease by the Hiroshima atomic bomb.

広島原子爆弾が1945年8月6日午前8時15分に投下され炸裂して、夫は被爆死した。母親は被爆による顔面に強度の熱傷により顔面はケロイド状となった。毎日の生活を支えるために日雇い人夫として重労働をした。その休憩時間に路上に横たわり休息取りながら、顔面をタオルで隠しながら。幼児に母乳を飲ませていた。
